Matthew Beaumont

Matt is a Principal Land Consultant within the Land Referencing Directorate at Ardent. He joined in 2023 having carried out similar roles at WSP and AECOM since 2017, and is helping bolster the Leeds team as a regional hub for land referencing.

Matt has experience in both land referencing and land access, and counts HS2, National Grid, Network Rail and National Highways as previous clients he has worked closely with to deliver schemes under DCO and Hybrid Bill. Matt was instrumental in providing the Book of Reference for HS2 Phase 2 Western Leg, delivered a challenging survey access programme post-Royal Assent for HS2 Phase 1, and has worked closely with National Grid and solar developers to provide land access and advice in a timely and efficient manner.

At Ardent, he is helping deliver the ambitious West Yorkshire Mass Transit scheme for the WY Combined Authority under the TWAO method and working with a number of solar developers to deliver the land aspects of their (typically fast-paced and deadline driven) DCOs.
