Exactly 1 year ago today, the Government told us to stay at home for the first time. Since then the past year has been described as “one of the most difficult in our country’s history”.

By the 23rd March, 2020, all of Ardent’s employees had moved out of their offices and began working from home. What seemed a daunting and unpredictable challenge, quickly became our new way of life. Thanks to the brilliant work of our IT team, we were able to embrace the change into the era of the virtual office, working remotely to continue to deliver for our clients.

This seamless transition, though demanding, saw many positives that could not have been achievable if not for the technologies on hand today. By utilising Microsoft Teams, we witnessed more inter-directorate and inter-office teams working together on projects, strengthening our company’s internal relationships.

We also managed to throw an enjoyable virtual Christmas Party, celebrating our year’s successes together over our screens. The day consisted of presentations, along with several party games and boutique Christmas Hampers, to thank our teams for their hard work and dedication.

Our team at Ardent have shown their true adaptability and flexibility, working from home. We would like to take this opportunity to thank our clients for being so understanding when children or dogs have decided to have their input on the all-important Teams calls.

Realistically, we do not know when and if life will go back to what it once was when reflecting on the uncertainty of the last year. Ardent has proven itself capable of transitioning to a new way of working and a new way of life. This is a testament to the dedication and determination of our team.
